Following the alleged removal of Rajender Gudha, a minister in Ashok Gehlot's government, after he spoke about his own government and said that the condition of women in Rajasthan is pathetic and the law and order situation in Rajasthan has collapsed, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla said that this has been done at the behest of Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, reported news agency ANI.
Several other BJP leaders have also reacted to the removal of the Minister. BJP MP, Rajyavardhan Rathore while talking on the matter said, "A Rajasthan Minister spoke truth inside the Assembly House, he said that the state govt must look into the crimes happening in its own state instead of criticising incidents of other states, since last 3 years Rajasthan is no.1 for crimes against women...and for this reason, he was removed from the state cabinet because Congress can't tolerate truth, this truth was muffled by the state govt since a long time."
Union Minister & BJP leader Gajendra Singh Shekhawat while talking to the media said that all his praises are with the sacked leader for his courage to convey the truth. He further said that neither women are safe in Rajasthan nor a person or a Minister who raises a voice against the atrocities against women in Rajasthan.
Rajendra Rathore, Leader of Opposition Rajasthan State Assembly said that CM Gehlot didn't like Gudha stating what National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) said, that Rajasthan is number one in terms of atrocities against women.
Rajasthan BJP In Charge Arun Singh said that the removal clearly shows that Gehlot knows that his government will not last long.
BJP MLA Vasudev Devnani hit out at Gehlot by saying that he is addicted to using and throwing. Devnani added that whenever he needs political benefits, he gets people together.
Rajasthan Governor on Friday accepted with immediate effect the recommendation of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to sack state minister Rajendra Singh Gudha from the state cabinet, Raj Bhawan informed, as per news agency ANI. This comes after Gudha criticised the Congress government over recent incidents of crimes against women in the state. He questioned his own government's work in tackling the crimes against women, even as his colleagues slammed the Manipur violence.
During the discussion on the Rajasthan Minimum Income Guarantee Bill 2023 in the state Assembly, Congress MLAs waved placards over the Manipur violence, but the protest did not go down well with Gudha, who demanded accountability from his own government on crimes inflicted against women.
"The way we have failed to provide security to women in Rajasthan and atrocities on women have increased, instead of raising the issue of Manipur, we should introspect," Gudha said in the state assembly.
