As per the last update, the encounter was underway between the security personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the militants.

The LeT operative was killed during an encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Chathergam village in Budgam district in the wee hours.
