A YouTuber from Rajanna Siricilla district has been detained after a video featuring a "traditional peacock curry recipe" went viral on social media, drawing criticism from viewers.
The video, titled “Traditional Peacock Curry Recipe,” went viral after which the police took action in the incident.
The video was reportedly uploaded by one Kodam Pranaykumar of Tangallapalli in Sircilla where he demonstrates how to cook peacock curry using traditional methods.
The video received a lot of criticism and prompted the police to take action in the case.
Akhil Mahajan, SP of Rajanna Siricilla district, wrote in a post on his X, "A case has been registered under the relevant law, and the strictest action will be taken against him and anyone else involved in such activities."

It was also revealed that in an another video, the Youtuber showased a wild boar curry recipe. The contentious video has since been removed, and police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Youtuber Arrested For Placing Objects On Railway Track
On August 2, another YouTuber named Gulzar Sheikh was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police for placing several objects, including cycles, soaps, and stones, on railway tracks to create content for his YouTube channel. He was apprehended by the Railway Police Force (RPF) from the village of Khandauli in UP, and a case was filed against him.
"A complaint was received in which a person named Gulzar used to place cylinders, bicycles on the railway track and make videos of train arrivals and upload them on Instagram. RPF post-Unchahar (Lucknow Division) under RPF post-Kunda registered a case under sections 147, 145, 153 of the Railway Act. The accused was arrested from village Khandauli in Uttar Pradesh, Gulzar, son of Syed Ahmed, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and included in the registered case. The interrogation of the arrested accused is ongoing, and he will be produced before the court," the Railway Police Force said on Friday, ANI reported.
