New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao left for New Delhi on Friday as part of his tour to take part in national-level political and social programmes, sources said. According to a report by news agency PTI, CM KCR will meet political, media and economic experts as part of the tour. He will also extend help to the families of the martyrs, an official release said.


As per the report, CM KCR will be meeting different political party leaders in the national capital, apart from interacting with experts to discuss the economic condition of the country. He will also be meeting noted journalists during his tour.


CM KCR will be meeting the bereaved families of famers who died while protesting for the “farmers’ rights” against the Centre, the PTI report said.


As part of his itinerary, KCR will embark on his Chandigarh tour on May 22. As announced earlier, he would meet the families of 600 farmers who laid down their lives during the farmers’ protests against the then farm laws.


As financial aid, KCR will be distributing Rs 3 lakh to each of the families. According to the release, the cheque distribution will be taken up along with his Delhi and Punjab counterparts, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann respectively.


The assistance will be given to the families of farmers in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.


On May 26, KCR is set to reach Bengaluru to meet former prime minister HD Deve Gowda.


From Bengaluru, KCR will then reach Ralegan Siddhi in Maharashtra the next day. There he will meet noted social activist Anna Hazare. From there, he will travel to Shirdi and offer prayers to Sai Baba, after which he will return to Hyderabad the same day.


On May 29 and 30, KCR will embark on a tour to West Bengal and Bihar, and meet the families of the soldiers who died at Galwan Valley.


As announced earlier, Chief Minister KCR will also extend assistance to those families, as per the release.
