New Delhi: In the ongoing two-day visit of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to Delhi, he held a meeting with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and held talks over the current national issues on Saturday. According to a report by news agency ANI, the meeting between the two leaders went on for over 1.5 hours where the President’s Election and the 2024 General Elections were likely among the top agendas.


“Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister @YadavAkhilesh met Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at his residence in New Delhi. The two leaders discussed current national issues,” Telangana Chief Minister’s Office wrote on Twitter.


As per reports, CM KCR is attempting to forge an anti-BJP alliance (third front) with all the like-minded parties, excluding the Congress.


Notably, Telangana Chief Minister accompanied by his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal visited a Mohalla clinic in the national capital later in the day.


They also visited a Delhi Government school in South Moti Bagh.






"Delhi govt's efforts in field of education is commendable. They have made students aim from being job seeker to job provider. I congratulate Delhi CM for this. We'll send our teachers and union leaders here to get oriented about it," ANI quoted KCR as saying.


After the meeting, Kejriwal said, "Telangana CM has come to Delhi and visited a school where he saw the facilities there. We heartily welcome him & his team. He observed & asked about every detail of the school, it's nice to see his deep interest in education."


As a part of his itinerary, CM KCR will visit Chandigarh on May 22 and meet the families of 600 farmers who died during the nationwide farmers’ protest against the then farm laws.


KCR will also distribute Rs 3 lakh cheque as financial aid to the bereaved families.


On May 26, the Chief Minister is set to visit Bengaluru, where he will meet former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.


The next day, he is scheduled to visit Ralegan-Siddhi in Maharashtra where he will be meeting social activist Anna Hazare. Later, he will go to Shirdi and offers prayers to Shri Saibaba.


Telangana CM KCR is expected to visit West Bengal and Bihar on May 29 or 30, where he will meet the families of the soldiers martyred in the Galwan Valley incident in 2020.
