The new relaxations effective from Monday include the reopening of state-owned TASMAC liquor shops between 10 am to 5 pm and looks like a tippler could not contain his happiness over getting his drink for the day as the man was seen worshipping the liquor bottles after his purchase.
Before entering the shop for his purchase he has his aarti thaali ready, he then places the bottles he purchased on the ground and folds his hand in "devotion".
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin had earlier responded to the heavy criticism over the decision to reopen Tasmac shops by saying that it was done to prevent people from consuming illicit arrack and smuggled liquor.
