Union Secretary V Srinivas has said that Swachhata Special Campaign 3.0 has resulted in cleaning up a number of office sites and also in terms of freeing up office space and earning a lot of revenue for the government.


Speaking on the mid-campaign progress review on the campaign, Srinivas said, "The campaign has resulted in cleaning up a number of office sites and also in terms of freeing up office space and earning a lot of revenue for the government. The cumulative figures are quite voluminous, and significantly more than Rs 600 crore of revenue has been earned. The campaign has been held in the last 2 and a half years in more than 2 lakh campaign sites".






V. Srinivas also stated that the special campaign 3.0 has been launched from October 2–31. "It is to be conducted in all attached subordinate and field offices, missions, overseas missions, and defence establishments, as well as in PSUs, and to be adopted by all attached subordinates and autonomous bodies of the government of India," he said.






The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has been conducting the Special Campaign 3.0 on Swachhata within the offices of the Ministry located in various parts of the World. The Campaign started from October 02, 2023 and will continue up to October 31, 2023. The main focus areas of the Campaign include effective disposal of public grievances, references from Members of Parliament, Parliament Assurances, Cleanliness drive, disposal of scrap and weeding out of files.
