Afridi, who is also a philanthropist and mainly focuses on charity work for now, had established his Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) in March 2014 with the aim of improving and enriching the lives of the underprivileged.
The foundation aims to provide healthcare, education and sports facilities to the underprivileged children.
The flamboyant all-rounder last year irked Pakistani media after saying that he and his team received more love in India than in Pakistan
“I’ve not enjoyed playing anywhere as much as I have in India. I am in the last stage of my career and I can say that the love I have got in India is something that I will always remember. We have not got this much love even from Pakistan,” Afridi had said.
