A day after dismissing rumors about his resignation from the Modi 3.0 cabinet, Suresh Gopi officially took charge as the Minister of State (MoS) in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. "It's a huge responsibility. So, I have to look at the prospects that the PM is looking forward to. After going through all the content of the next level of emerging petroleum systems in India, maybe I will be able to put in my contribution. Let's keep our thoughts open. Thanks to the people of Kerala, Thrissur. You gave me this opportunity."
The Minister of State emphasised his commitment to his new roles and his dedication to contributing to the government's vision for the future. Amid speculations that he might quit from the cabinet, Suresh Gopi rubbished the rumours as 'grossly incorrect' on Monday. He said, "A few media platforms are spreading the incorrect news that I am going to resign from the Council of Ministers of the Modi Government. This is grossly incorrect. It is a matter of pride for me to be in the Council of Ministers of the Modi Government and to represent the people of Kerala. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, we are committed to the development and prosperity of Kerala "
