The former Deputy Chief Minister has recently been attacking the CM Amarinder Singh-led Punjab government alleging misrule and not fulfilling poll promises.

"Capt Amarinder made fake promise of farmers' loan waiver by swearing on holy Gutka Sahib. In a big show, youth were fooled with forms promising assured jobs. Also didn't keep his promise of Rs 10K/acre to farmers plowing land beyond the barbed wire fence," Sukhbir  Badal had tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Coronavirus situation in Punjab continues to be serious as it became the state reporting the second-highest fresh cases as per data released on Tuesday morning.
