Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin underwent a series of medical tests at Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, after experiencing symptoms of giddiness. A statement released by the hospital on Thursday confirmed that he is in good health and is expected to resume his regular duties within two days.

Dr. Anil B. G., Director of Medical Services at Apollo Hospitals, stated that the 72-year-old leader Chief Minister was evaluated for fluctuations in heart rate, which were identified as the cause of his symptoms. Following expert medical consultation, including assessment by a committee led by senior interventional cardiologist Dr. G. Sengottuvelu, Stalin underwent a therapeutic procedure to address the issue.
"Based on the opinion of Medical Experts Committee led by Interventional Cardiologist, Dr G Sengottuvelu, the Honourable Chief Minister underwent a therapeutic procedure today morning to correct these variations. The diagnostic Angiogram done today was normal. The Honourable Chief Minister is healthy and is expected to resume his normal routine in two days' time," the hospital’s statement read.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister was admitted to the hospital on July 21 after experiencing dizziness during his routine morning walk. Despite his hospitalisation, Stalin has continued to oversee official duties from his hospital room for the second consecutive day, including reviewing progress on his flagship outreach initiative, "Ungaludan Stalin" (Stalin With You). The programme aims to deliver government services directly to citizens through local grievance redressal camps.
"While in the hospital, I inquired about #WithYou_Stalin camps from district collectors and the public, and also signed government files. After the rest advised by doctors, I will soon visit your districts to meet you!" he wrote in a post on X.
On Thursday, DMK General Secretary Duraimurugan also assured the public that the Chief Minister's condition is stable.
