Amid the ongoing mystery surrounding the death of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Haryana Sonali Phogat, a video has recently gone viral on social media where Phogat can be seen struggling to stand and even walking off-balance with support of a man hours before she was allegedly killed by two of her aides in Goa. According to reports, the CCTV footage belongs to the pub of same hotel where the social media personality was staying.
It is also being alleged that the man who is supporting 'intoxicated' BJP leader is none other that her Personal Assistant - who is also one of the accused in her death case. However, ABP News does not claim the authenticity of the purpurated video.
Watch The Video Below:
In the less-than-a-minute-long clip, Phogat can be seen limping into the hotel's pub and taking support of a man who is taking her somewhere. The man is believed to Sudhir Sangwan - one of her aides.
Even Sukhwinder Wasi, her second aide and accsue no. 2 in the case, is also reported present at the spot.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Omvir Singh Bishnoi has said that the CCTV footage of the restaurant was examined by the investigating officer and it was found Sagwan was forcefully making Phogat drink the alleged liquid in a water bottle.
Police also said that the incident took place at 'Curlies' restaurant at Anjuna in North Goa district on the intervening night of August 22 and 23. Two other women were also with the accused at the party and were seen cutting a cake, the IGP said, adding both were being questioned.
Both Sangwan and Wasi have been arrested by the Goa Police and charged with murder. Police have alleged that Phogat was fed some "obnoxious chemical" through her drinks by her two aides during a party at a North Goa restaurant which apparently caused her death.
The popular TikTok star was brought dead to St Anthony Hospital at Anjuna in North Goa district on August 23 morning from her hotel. Doctors had then said prima facie it appears she died of a heart attack.
The motive behind the murder of the 42-year-old politician could be "economic interest", said a senior police official told news agency PTI earlier in the day. Both the accused have been arrested to "avoid the possibility of destruction of evidence and influencing the witnesses".
