New Delhi: As the world is witnessing an annular solar eclipse on Sunday June 21, which is also the date for summer solstice, skygazers are an excited lot. However, a large section of the population remains skeptical about the eclipse or "grahan" due to the rampant superstitious belief. Practices like avoiding food or water and not stepping outside are common in several parts of India. While skygazers were busy posting pictures of the phenomenon, a section was busy making memes.
The internet seemed to be a buzzing place during the celestial phenomenon with netizens posting hilarious memes regarding the eclipse.
Most of the memes revolved around "Indian moms" for allegedly not allowing food during eclipse.
