Jammu and Kashmir:  A day after attack on JNU student leader Umar Khalid, now social activist Shehla Rashid on Monday filed a police complaint alleging that she has received death threats from gangster Ravi Poojary.

Following the complaint, an FIR has been filed by Jammu and Kashmir police at Raj Bagh police station.

"FIR number 45/2018 u/s (under section) 506 RPC filed by J&K Police against Ravi Poojary on my complaint," Rashid said on Twitter.

As per the screen grab of the message threat she had received, the mafia don had asked her to forward the same message to Umar Khalid and Jignesh Mevani as well.




Taking on her Twitter on Monday evening, Rashid said “Meanwhile, got this death threat from right-wing Hindutvawadi fundamentalist Ravi Poojary. He warns Umar Khalid, Jignesh Mevani and me to shut up! Threat by SMS #DigitalIndia”.

"Just shut your mouth or we will shut your mouth forever. Tell Umar Khalid and Jignesh Mewani also. Mafia don Ravi Poojary" the message read.
