Sidhu Moosewala Death Highlights: The famous Punjabi Singer was shot dead two days after the AAP-led Punjab Government had withdrawn his security.
Punjab DGP VK Bhawra in a press conference said that the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala will be invstigated by the SIT. He added that three different weapons were used in the murder. He further said that 30 shells have been recovered from the incident spot
The DGP said that inter-gang rivalry is being suspected as the cause of murder and added that Goldy Brar is the prime suspect behind Moosewala's killing.
Two cars intercepted Sidhu Moose Wala's car which followed heavy firing in which Sidhu Moose Wala received multiple bullet injuries. Persons present with him also got bullet injuries and they have been referred to Patiala for further treatment, said Gaurav Toora, SSP, Mansa.
Senior Superintendent of Police of Mansa, suspects Lawrence Bishnoi's group behind murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala as per ABP News sources. The SSP has not denied use of AK-47 weapon for singer's murder.
Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that "harshest punishment" will be given to the culprits of singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder. "The murder of Sidhu Musewala is very sad and shocking. I just spoke to Punjab CM Man Sahib. The culprits will be given the harshest punishment. I request everyone to keep calm and maintain peace. May God rest his soul," Kejriwal tweeted.
Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal targets Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over the killing of Sidhu Moosewala saying "CM must reflect deeply why Punjab under him has drifted into anarchy with total breakdown of law & order."
"This is an extremely sombre and critical hour, requiring all of us to exercise restraint and statesmanship. On his part, CM must reflect deeply why Punjab under him has drifted into anarchy with total breakdown of law & order," he tweeted. "CM also must honestly think if the cheaply populist decision to withdraw Moosewala's security is directly responsible for the tragedy. After all, he faced tangible threat to life. This is no time for political point scoring but someone must take responsibility for the situation," he added.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwnat Mann reacted to the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala saying that "nobody involved will be spared." "I am Shocked and Deeply saddened by the gruesome murder of Siddhu Moosewala. Nobody involved will be spared. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his fans across the world. I appeal everyone to stay calm," Mann tweeted.
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi offered his condolence on the demise of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's death in Punjab's Mansa. "Deeply shocked and saddened by the murder of promising Congress leader and talented artist, Sidhu Moosewala.My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and fans from across the world," tweeted the Comgress leader.
Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh too expressed his grief on the unfortunate incident and targeted the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab government for the incident. "Brutal murder of Sidhu Moosewala is shocking. My profound condolences to the bereaved family. Law and order has completely collapsed in Punjab. Criminals have no fear of law. AAP government has miserably failed. Nobody is safe in Punjab!" he tweeted.

Sidhu Moosewala Death Highlights: Famous Punjabi singer Siddhu Moosewala was shot deat in Jawaharpur village of Punjab's Mansa district on Sunday as per ABP News sources. Three people were brought to the hospital, out of which Sidhu Moose Wala was dead. After giving primary treatment, the two injured have been referred to a higher institute for further treatment, said Ranjeet Rai, Civil Surgeon, Mansa Hospital, quoted by news agency ANI.
On Friday, Punjab Police had ordered the withdrawal of security of 424 people which included Sidhu Moosewala.
Moosewala, had contested the Assembly polls on a Congress ticket from Mansa. He was defeated by AAP’s Dr Vijay Singla.
The Congress party offered condolences on singer's passing away. "The murder of Shri Sidhu Moose Wala, Congress candidate from Punjab & a talented musician, has come as a terrible shock to the Congress party & the entire nation. Our deepest condolences to his family, fans & friends. We stand united & undeterred, at this time of extreme grief," tweeted the official handle of the party.
Hailing from the village of Moosa in Mansa district of Punjab, he started his career on a duet song titled "G Wagon". In 2018, he released his debut album PBX 1, which peaked at 66th on Billboard Canadian Albums chart. Also, his single "47" was ranked on UK Singles Chart. In 2020, Sidhu was named by The Guardian among the top 50 new artists.
