Police forces in Punjab, Delhi, and Mumbai have arrested several other men accused in the murder allegedly planned by Canada-based Goldy Brar and jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to a PTI report, three of the shooters allegedly involved in Moosewala's murder were on the run. While two are now engaged in a shootout, another named Deepak Mundi has not been traced yet.

They belong to the Jaggu Bhaganpuria gang, which allegedly provided shooters to Bishnoi for Moosewala's murder.

Singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, better known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead in Mansa on May 29, a day after the Punjab government downgraded his and over 400 other VIPs' security cover in what it termed a move against VIP culture.

The 28-year-old's body was riddled with bullets. The murder rocked the state, sparking a wave of criticism against the newly formed Aam Aadmi Party government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

The investigation into the high-profile murder case threw up Bishnoi's name. The gangster, it is alleged, plotted the crime from inside Delhi's Tihar jail to avenge the killing of an accomplice. Moosewala had allegedly helped the men who killed the gangster's aide.
