New Delhi: Shocking reports have surfaced recently in Bihar claiming murder of a child for plucking mangoes.


The victim, a 10-year-old child died after he was allegedly shot in the head for plucking mangoes from an orchard.

As per reports, the boy went to pluck some mangoes from an orchard in Pathraha village in Khagaria’s Gogri Police Station limits, where some other kids were also playing.


The incident took place yesterday.

Police says the boy's body has been sent for postmortem and that probe to nab the culprit is underway.

As per reports, the 10-year-old’s name was Satyam Kumar and he was a native of Shergarh village. He went to the orchard to pluck some mangoes where some other children were also playing.

His father has alleged that he was shot for plucking mangoes. The children who were playing there ran after the incident and informed the villagers and that is how he found out about his son’s murder. In his complaint he has alleged the orchard’s watchman Ramashish Yadav as the prime culprit who has since then been absconding.
