New Delhi: Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief Shivpal Singh Yadav on Friday dissolved all state working committees, national and state working cells and spokespersons of the party with immediate effect.
News agency ANI reported the same, which comes amid reports about his joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) soon.
The Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief had earlier changed the header photo on his Twitter profile, thereby giving clear indications about his next political step.
The new picture on his Twitter handle shows his black and white photograph with the caption stating “Hain Taiyyar Hum”.
Hinting at his next political move, the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief had recently said “achche din are coming soon”.
Interacting with the media personnel in Etawah, he said that he would “very soon” disclose his political plans.
This comes amid media speculations about Shivpal snapping all ties with his nephew Akhilesh Yadav as he is reportedly upset over being sidelined in the Samajwadi Party.
In view of the same, the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief may opt for an alliance or merger with the BJP in politically crucial Uttar Pradesh as his party was also not given any seats during the recently concluded assembly elections.
Shivpal, who is the younger brother of Samajwadi Party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav and a former minister in Akhilesh Yadav-led government, had recently met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and top BJP leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Post the meeting, the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief is now following Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister on Twitter.
