New Delhi: Shiv Sena has taken a jibe at Congress in its mouthpiece 'Saamana' which now hints towards a rift in the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance of Shiv Sena-Congress and NCP. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's party Shiv Sena has hit out at the Congress in an editorial in Saamana saying that now the condition of Congress is like a palace in ruins. Not only that, but Saamana's editorial also claims that Muslims from all over Maharashtra, including Mumbai, vote only for the Shiv Sena.
'Muslims from Mumbai-Maharashtra with Shiv Sena'
The editorial reads, "The present state of the Congress is becoming like a dilapidated palace that has lost its 'Zamindari' in the village. This analysis has been done by a leader like Sharad Pawar which was even criticised by others but the reality is that the huge vote bank of Muslim and Dalit votes was the result of "Zamindari". Due to this 'cash flow' of Muslim Dalits, the Congress palace seemed strong and luxurious. Today, both these solid coins have slipped out of Congress's hands and the grand old party has collapsed in major states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal. Muslims in Mumbai-Maharashtra openly vote for Shiv Sena.''
'Congress rejects right of a distressed Muslim woman'
The editorial in Saamana further says, "It is a matter of concern for a secular party like the Congress that the Shiv Sena, which does not give undue importance to the votes of Muslims, is considered as its own by the Muslim community. When the rulers were absorbed in Babur's devotion as compared to Ram, people's discontentment exploded and the Congress began burning in it. This truth cannot be ruled out. In the Shah Bano case, Congress rejected the right of the victimised Muslim woman and the court intervened in Shariat, assuming that the Constitution was amended. It did not go down well with some people, but the Modi government fearlessly enacted an anti-triple 'Talaq' law and consoled the suffering Muslim women.''
'Savarnas (upper caste) hold high BJP's Hindutva'
Shiv Sena wrote, "Congress is only concerned about Muslims and Christians. This is the policy of Congress to fulfill the tantrums of minorities, such ideology is still imbibed in people. It has to be removed. Priyanka Gandhi has placed a new bet in a big state like Uttar Pradesh, but it is a reality that Muslims and Dalits support Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati, while the Savarnas support BJP's ideology of Hindutva. Once upon a time, there was politics for Muslims, Dalit vote banks in the country, and the Hindus were rejected. Today the politics of the Hindu vote bank is at the forefront. And the BJP is devouring it.
