New Delhi: Exchanging banter between Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and Author Chetan Bhagat is not a new thing to the netizens on Twitter. Carrying on with the thread, both Tharoor and Bhagat engaged in a light hearted conversation on Twitter.

It started with the author sharing a photo of him with Shashi Tharoor from the ABP Ideas of India summit on Saturday. Sharing the photo on Twitter, Bhagat tagged Tharoor and captioned it, “India has two kinds of English. 1. The Shashi Tharoor English. 2. The Chetan Bhagat English.”

Retweeting the tweet, Shashi Tharoor on Sunday expressed his pleasure over their meeting and then asked how would that be said in “Chetan Bhagat English?”

“My dear @chetan_bhagat, it was a pleasure catching up with you at the #ABPIdeasOfIndiaSummit. (Now how would you say that in Chetan Bhagat English?),” the Member of Parliament tweeted.

Shashi Tharoor was at ABP Ideas of India Summit with West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar where they discussed the topic of 'Law, Liberty, and the Limits of Democracy: A functioning anarchy or a Non-negotiable Democracy?' The discussion was moderated by senior journalist Vir Saghvi

In his opening comment, Tharoor spoke about India's pluralism and diversities that served as its foundation. He said religion is personal and it has no place in the functioning of the State.

In response, Dhankhar asked why religion should not be given importance, and that it's time one stopped being apologetic about his or her religion.
