New Delhi: Delhi Police on Wednesday inspected the site of murder in Shailja Dwivedi murder case and said that the prime accused Nikhil Handa, who is also an Army Major has been giving misleading information day after day.
Dwivedi, who was an Army Major’s wife, was found in Brar Square with her throat slit on June 23.
Speaking on the case, Vijay Kumar, DCP West Delhi said “we have done 90% work and in coming days the truth will come out".
The police further said that the weapon we have in custody is not the weapon used for murdering Shailja.
Army Major Nihil Handa has been accused of murdering Shailja, after she allegedly denied marriage proposal by Handa, who is already married.
As per reports, Handa and Shailja met on June 23 and after an argument between the two, Handa slit her throat, post which she jumped out of the car and Handa ran his car on her, which left her dead.
The accused is currently in 4-day police custody and is being interrogated by the police.
