Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has received a death threat, according to Bandra Police, in Maharashtra's Mumbai. The threat was received from a number registered in the name of a man named Faizan from Chhattisgarh's Raipur. Shah Rukh Khan's team has registered a complaint with the Bandra Police.
The call was received at Bandra Police Station. A team from the Bandra police crime branch is now on the way to Raipur to verify the details of the number, from which the threat was received. The team has traced the last known location of the number.
Extortionist Demanded Rs 50 Lakh From Shah Rukh Khan
The threat call was made on a landline number and was received by a Mumbai cop on November 5. The man identified himself as "Hindustani" and asked for Rs 50 lakh. The caller said: "Ask Shah Rukh Khan to pay up Rs 50 lakh. If he doesn't, he will die... My name is not important, but if you want to write, not down the name 'Hindustani'."
One Arrested In SRK Death Threat Case
Faizan, under whose name, the number was registered, has been arrested in Raipur. However, the police haven't released any further information. The suspect is being interrogated by the Bandra Police team in Raipur.
It is still unclear whether "Faizan" was "Hindustani" or if someone had used his details to procure the number used to threaten Shah Rukh Khan.
Salman Khan Death Threat Case Suspect Arrested
Earlier, superstar Salman Khan received multiple death threats. On Wednesday, a man from Rajasthan's Jalore was arrested in Karnataka. Salman Khan, too, received the threat call on November 5. The arrested suspect, Bikaram Jalaram Bishnoi, said: "This is Lawrence Bishnoi's brother. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our temple and apologise or give Rs 5 crore. If he does not do this, we will kill him. Our gang is still active."
