Security forces gunned down four terrorists in an encounter in Rajpora area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Saturday. The gunfight broke out in the wee hours of Saturday after security forces received inputs of presence of terrorists in the area. Meanwhile, a search operation is underway to nab the other terrorists who could be hiding in the region. The terrorists killed by the security forces belonged to the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit.

Earlier on Friday, one terrorist was killed by the Indian army in an encounter in Awantipora area. Security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the Banderpora-Rinzipora area of Awantipora on Friday morning following leads about the presence of terrorists there.

Later the search operation turned into an full fledged encounter after the militants fired on the search party of the forces, who retaliated.
