Ahead of the launch of the Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express train, children from various schools gathered at Ranchi station to witness the train's inaugural journey. “Pure joy fills the air as these vibrant school children gather at Ranchi Station, eagerly anticipating the unforgettable experience of the inaugural journey aboard the Ranchi-Patna #VandeBharatExpress,” Ministry of Railways said in a tweet.






According to an official statement, Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express will be the first Vande Bharat for Jharkhand and Bihar. Enhancing connectivity between Patna and Ranchi, the train will be a boon for tourists, students, and businessmen. 


The train will help save about one hour and twenty-five minutes of journey time when compared with the current fastest train connecting the two places, the official statement read.  


Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal directly to flag off five Vande Bharat Express trains connecting important cities in different parts of the country. Two of the Vande Bharat trains will be for Madhya Pradesh, where Assembly polls are due by the year-end. The other three are in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Bihar. This will for the first time that so many Vande Bharat trains will be launched in a day.


The routes on which the semi-high speed trains would operate are- Rani Kamalapati (Bhopal)-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express; Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express; Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express; Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express; and Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express.


The Rani Kamalapati (Bhopal)-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express will connect Madhya Pradesh Mahakaushal region (Jabalpur) to the Central region (Bhopal). Madhya Pradesh's second semi-high speed will operate between the two cities at the speed of 130 kmph. The train is expected to be faster by about thirty minutes as compared to the existing fastest train on the route.
