He said that the verdict has proved that the FIR of Bihar Police was correct and it was doing nothing illegal. “I am very happy with the decision. All we want is justice for Sushant Singh Rajput in a free and fair manner. However, this was not acceptable to few people who were scared of the truth coming out in the open.”
The verdict has strengthened our faith in the Supreme Court, Pandey said. He said the entire country wanted a CBI probe and the Supreme Court has given a stamp on it. This is a major news for the entire country.
Slamming Mumbai Police for over a lackadaisical attitude, he said: “The way Mumbai Police was behaving was totally illegal, unprofessional and unethical.”
He criticized Mumbai police for quarantining Bihar’s IPS officer who went to pursue the investigation in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police Commissioner, Parambir Singh said they will examine the future course of action after getting the order copy. "Once we get the order copy, we will examine it and decide further course of action. We have spoken to our advocates in the Supreme Court to send us the order copy," he said.
CBI To Probe SSR Case: SC
The Supreme Court on Wednesday said the CBI will investigate actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.
The apex court said the FIR registered by Bihar Police is correct. SC gave the verdict on Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking the transfer of the case from Patna to Mumbai. She challenged the jurisdiction of the Bihar Police in the matter in her written submission and told SC that the Patna FIR could at best be regarded as a zero FIR.
