New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday will hear the plea of German car-maker Mercedes seeking lift of ban on diesel cars.
Mercedes had earlier on Monday moved the apex court saying it is ready to pay one percent environment cess on sale of diesel cars.
The move from German car maker is seen as an attempt to get the ban on registration of cars with engines bigger than 2000cc lifted.
The ban on registration of over cars over 2000cc diesel cars in Delhi/NCR was imposed by National Green Tribunal (NGT) in an attempt to curb pollution.
