Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Saturday met with Bengal Chief Minster Mamata Banerjee at her residence in Kolkata. Both posed before the media before entering the CM's residence for the meeting. In a video shared by news agency ANI, the Bengal CM could be seen offering a shawl to the actor. Following the meeting, Banerjee took to her Facebook account and said it was a pleasure meeting the actor. "It was a pleasure to meet renowned personality and celebrated film actor Salman Khan ji at my residence today and indulge in a hearty conversation with him," she wrote.
"Our discussion included meaningful insights on varied topics, from the world of cinema to art to society and people's development. I express my humble regards to him for paying a visit amidst his busy schedule. May he continue to climb the steps of success in good health. I convey my best wishes to him for his future."
Earlier, Trinamool Congress MP had taken to Twitter to share the information of Khan's arrival in Kolkata. "On 13/5/23 actor Salman Khan will go to CM's residence to meet @MamataOfficial in Kolkata. After that he will perform in a mega show at East Bengal Ground," Ghosh had tweeted.

Khan, who has received multiple death threats in the past, is in Kolkata for his 'Da-Bangg The Tour Reloaded' at the city's East Bengal Club scheduled for 6 pm. As per reports, the event will also witness performances from top shots like Prabhudeva, Pooja Hegde, Guru Randhawa, Maniesh Paul, Sonakshi Sinha, and Jacqueline Fernandez.
The ticket prices for the event ranges between Rupees 699 and Rs 40,000 while opting a lounge access will cost between Rupees 2-3 lakhs.
The actor has been receiving deatht threats lately. In connection with the matter, the Mumbai Police had issued a lookout circular this week against a man accused of sending threatening email to the actor. According to reports, the suspect is a third-year medical student from Haryana, who is studying in the UK. The man allegedly sent threatening emails to the actor in the name of gangster Goldy Brar in March.
In March, Salman Khan received a death threat by mail under the name of gangster Goldy Brar, who is also an accused in the killing of famous Pujabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala last year.
