The Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday had a telephonic conversation with Bollywood star Salman Khan after two unidentified men opened fire outside the actor's residence in Bandra, Mumbai. 


Chief Minister Shinde also had discussions with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and suggested increasing the security for Salman Khan.






The Mumbai Police on Sunday registered a case against an unknown person in the case of firing outside Khan's Bandra residence.


 






Mumbai Police said that it started searching for the accused, and formed several teams to catch the accused. According to the police officer said that Salman Khan was present in his house when the firing took place on the morning of April 14.


April 14 started on scary note for the Bollywood superstar after two gunshots were heard outside his residence in the Galaxy apartments by some unknown gunmen. Several CCTV footage have emerged of the firing incidents. The culprits haven’t been identified yet but the police have registered a case against unknown persons. 


In March 2023, the Mumbai Police filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar after Salman Khan's office reported a threatening email.


In November 2022, Khan's security was beefed up to Y-Plus. Khan was also given a permit to carry a personal weapon.
