The Delhi Police arrested four active members of Kala Asauda-Neeraj Bawana Gang on Tuesday. It has been revealed that all four are associates of wrestler Sushil Kumar and were involved in the alleged murder of Sagar Dhankar at Chhatrasal stadium. As per reports, the accused have revealed the entire conspiracy and sequence of events that took place on the night Sagar was murdered.


All four are residents of Haryana, police had issued a non-bailable warrant against them. The names of the accused are Bhupendra, Mohit, Gulab and Manjeet. Police arrested them from Kanjhawala area of national Capital on Tuesday night.

Delhi Police had received information that four members of Kala Asauda-Neeraj Bawana gang are involved in the murder of wrestler Sagar Dhankar and were going to meet their partner Kala in Ghevra village. On the basis of this information, the Delhi Police laid a trap near the Ghevra railway crossing and arrested these four after their identification through a secret informer. 


All four accused persons have disclosed that in the intervening night of 04/05-05-21, they had gone to Chhatrasal stadium. They reached the stadium at around 12 at night in two vehicles.


They have narrated the sequence of events and details of other persons involved in the crime. On hearing the police siren, they could not escape with their vehicles and left their cars and weapons at the spot. Further investigation is in progress.


Sagar Dhankar's Post-Mortem Report Makes Crucial Revelations


According to ANI, post mortem report of wrestler Sagar Dhankar submitted by Dr Munish Wadhawan, Specialist, Forensic Medicine, Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, Sagar had multiple injuries on his both legs, limbs, chest and abdomen. The report suggests that the cause of his death was "cerebral damage".


"Death is due to cerebral damage as a result of blunt force/object impact. All injuries are antemortem in nature," said the report.
