New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) founder Mulayam Singh Yadav’s wife Sadhna Gupta passed away at a Gurugram hospital on Saturday, according to reports. As per reports, she was admitted to Medanta Hospital where she was undergoing treatment for a lung disease.
According to reports, Mulayam Singh's second wife Sadhna Gupta, who was 20 years younger than him, had been ill for a long time and was in the ICU for the last four days. Despite medication and treatment, her health condition showed no improvement, reports said.

Deputy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya, took to his Twitter handle to condole Gupta's demise. He wrote in Hindi, "Received the sad news of the demise of Sadhna Gupta, wife of former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav. May lord give courage to Mulayam Singh and his family to bear the loss."
Not too many people knew about Sadhna Gupta till 2003, when Mulayam Singh Yadav's first wife and Akhilesh Yadav's mother, Malti Yadav, passed away. Sadhna got the status of Mulayam's wife that year.
