Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday constituted the Congress Working Committee with 39 members including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Kharge himself. The constitution of the committee comes ahead of assembly elections in several states and the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls. Among the other prominent leaders in the committee include Shashi Tharoor Naseer Hussain, Alka Lamba, Supriya Shrinate, Praniti Shinde, Pawan Khera, Ganesh Godiyal, and Yashomati Thakur.
Apart from the CWC member, there are 32 permanent invitees with five incharges, and nine general secretaries.
There are 13 special invitees in the committee with four ex officio members.
