New Delhi: By the end of the seventh day of Russia's military advance, Ukraine claimed that it is battling on in the port of Kherson, the first sizeable city Russia claimed to have seized, as airstrikes and bombardment caused devastation in cities that Moscow's bogged down forces have failed to capture.


It is now almost a week since Russia is trying to achieve its aim of overthrowing Ukraine's government, reportedly killing over 2,000 civilians and destroying government buildings, hospitals, kindergartens and homes.


As Russia continues to hunker down bunkers and bomb shelters in key cities of Ukraine, an advisory from the Indian government instructed citizens to vacate Ukraine's Kharkiv 'immediately', forcing them to set out on a long march to the borders.
