RRB Recruitment 2018: The Indian Railways has increased the vacancies for the posts of the assistant loco pilot (ALP) and technicians (Group C) from 26,502 to 60,000 provisional vacancies notified earlier. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday took to Twitter to confirm the news. He wrote, "Govt. has more than doubled the vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot & Technician posts from 26,502 to 60,000, ensuring more jobs in Railways." Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a notification on the official webiste - indianrail.gov.in mentioning the same. The board further said that the post wise details of the enhanced vacancies will be advertised on the official website of RRB in the due course. The board has advised the candidates to visit the official website of RRBs regularly for latest news and updates.


Meanwhile, RRB is soon going to release RRB ALP admit card and RRB Technician admit card 2018 on the official website - indianrail.gov.in. As per the schedule, RRB will conduct the first-stage examination for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician posts on August 9, 2018. Candidates can download their call letter four days before the date of their CBT.

The board has meanwhile released the link the mock for the CBT (computer-based test) along with exam details like city, date and session on the website. The candidates can practice online for CBT. The duration of the exam will be one hour, as notified by RRB. Candidates can check the mock test paper by visiting the RRB website.

The RRB has recently invited application for 90,000 posts in group C and group D posts on the official website. The Indian Railway released 26,502 vacancies for loco pilot and technicians posts for which as per the report, over 50 lakh online applications were received. Besides, there are 62,907 Group D posts were open for recruitment.
