Four people lost their lives and five were left injured after a car met with an accident in the Thanamandi area of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri. The injured are being treated at the Government Medical College & Associated Hospital in Rajouri, reported news agency ANI while citing Dr Mehmood Hussain Bajar, Medical Superintendent, GMC, Rajouri. The prime cause of the accident has not been ascertained yet. Further details on the matter are awaited.
In another incident, 25 people lost their lives in a bus accident in Maharashtra's Buldhana district on Saturday. The poor quality of the highway was being blamed for the accident, however, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis refuted such claims. While addressing the media, Fadnavis said it was premature to call into question the construction quality of the Samruddhi Mahamarg Expressway, where the incident occurred. The deputy CM emphasised that passing judgement on the expressway's construction at this stage would be inappropriate.
Another bus accident in MP's Morena led to the death of three and left seven injured when a dumper and a passenger bus collided on June 17. Superintendent of Police (SP) Morena, Shailendra Singh Chauhan while talking to news agency ANI confirmed the fatalities and said that the injured had been admitted to a hospital.
