Earlier in the day, a post was shared from Yadav's Facebook page in which it was said that he may consider quitting politics even as his family is paying no attention to the issues faced by him within the party.
"Why would I write such post? My Facebook account has been hacked. It is a conspiracy of the BJP and RSS to malign my image in the party. There is no dispute in my family. We stand united. We will make sure that BJP is defeated in Bihar in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections," Tej Pratap told ANI.
"I will take action against this (Facebook post). My brother Tejashwi Yadav called me to inform that my account has been hacked," he added.
In the post, it was stated that some party leaders are spreading rumours about him in order to dent his image among the RJD workers.
"They (party workers) told me that we have no complaints against you but Om Prakash Yadav and MLC Subodh Rai are spreading false information and calling you crazy and eccentric", it said.
"These two refer to me as 'Joru ka ghulam' and say that Tej Pratap doesn't know anything," he wrote.
The former health minister said such people are polluting the RJD and deserve to be thrown out of the party, adding that he has raised the issue with his parents Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi but instead of acting against them, his mother scolded him for the same.
He warned if such people elements are allowed to continue in the party, he would quit politics.
"If this situation persists, then I assure you that I will retire from politics," Yadav said.
Tej Pratap Yadav has been politically overshadowed by his younger brother and former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav.
Soon after his marriage to the daughter of a party MLA Chandrika Rai last month, he had caused a storm with a tweet wherein he had drawn an analogy from the epic Mahabharata which had given rise to speculations that he was dejected upon playing second fiddle to his kid brother and planning retirement from politics.
However, Tej Pratap Yadav later clarified that he neither wanted to give up politics, nor did he nurse any grouse against Tejashwi, using the endearment kaleje ka tukda for his younger brother.
