Kapoor expressed hope that the cricketer-turned-politician Khan, would work towards improving the relations between the two countries.
The actor welcomed Khan's speech, in which the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief said that Pakistan is ready to improve its relationship with India.
"Well spoken Imran Khan. I have been saying whatever you said on all channels past two days regarding India-Pakistan! I hope you succeed in making your 'Mulk' have good relations with my 'Mulk'," Kapoor tweeted soon after Khan's victory speech.
Kapoor, who will be seen in the role of a Muslim father caught in a terror plot in "Mulk", has expressed hope for better relations between the two countries in his recent interviews to promote the film.
Imran Khan in his speech today said that if India would take one, he would take two steps for bettering the ties. He said that Kashmir is the core issue between India and Pakistan. He promoted dialogue between the two countries and said that the leadership of both the countries should come to table to resolve the dispute
He also emphasised on trade ties with India, for improving the economy in the sub-continent.
