New Delhi: Demanding justice for Rinku Sharma who was killed in Delhi on February 10, Madhya Pradesh Assembly Pro-tem Speaker Rameshwar Sharma on Sunday claimed he has received a threat for extending his support to the cause and added that he would not be intimidated by such threats. 


“In the Facebook post, I have been threatened that I will meet the same fate as Rinku Sharma. I am not going to be intimidated by such threats,” he told the media.

Earlier on Saturday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader tweeted a screenshot of a post “threatening” him on Facebook and urged the police to find out those responsible behind the same at the earliest. 


Sharma’s brother has alleged that he was killed for his active participation in a donation drive for Ayodhya’s Ram Temple. 


The Delhi Police Crime Branch is conducting further investigation into the murder case.

The Delhi Police have so far denied any communal angle to the murder of 25-year-old Sharma, who worked as a lab technician. According to reports, at least three people have so far been arrested in connection with the case.


As per police, the incident took place in Delhi’s Rohini area during a birthday party celebration.
