Ahead of Republic Day 2023, a full dress rehearsal is being held on Monday on the Kartavya path with locals gathered to watch aside the barricaded road. Various contingents showed their might during the rehearsals. During the parade, K9 Vajra, AGNI, AKASH, and BRAMHOS missiles, Mechanised Infantry Regiment, and Helicopters showing Rudra formation display their strength.

The four-minute video shows the march being led by K9 Vajra T and Lieutenant Prakhar Tiwari of 224 Medium Regiment heading it. It was followed by BRAMHOS of the 861 regiment which was headed by Lieutenant Prajwal Kala. Captain Shivashish Solanki of 64 Assault Engineer Regiment heading AGNI missile's contingent followed Lieutenant Kala. It was succeeded by the Mobile Microwave Node and Mobile Network Centre led by Mohammad Asif Ahmed of 2 Army Head Quarter Signal Regiment.


Next attachment of the AKASH weapon system of the 27th Missile Regiment, the Amritsar Airfield led by Captain Sunil followed it. Mechanised Infantry Regiment took the lead from AKASH, this contingent was led by Harshdeep Singh of 23 Mechanised Infantry. Toward the end of the video, Rudra formation by two Dhruv helicopters and two Rudra helicopters were seen claiming the sky.


On January 26, during the Republic Day celebrations, vibrant tableaux from Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gujarat, West Bengal, and several other states and Union Territories will travel down the renovated Kartavya Path. The majority of the floats will have "Nari Shakti" as their theme, news agency PTI reported.


The ceremonial procession will feature a total of 23 tableaux—17 from states and union territories, and six from other ministries and departments—depicting India's unique cultural history, economic development, and social advancement, Defence Ministry officials announced on Sunday.
