Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das expressed concern over incidents of repeated sale of a single piece of land which was not possible without involvement of government officials.

"Complaints regarding sale of the same piece of land comes often, and it is not possible without involvement of officials and employees," an official release said here quoting Das.

Land has been the reason behind half of the crimes in the state, Das said while meeting with officials of land reforms and other land-related departments. Reiterating that corruption would not be tolerated at any cost, the Chief Minister said no protection would be given to anybody in this regard as they get salaries from the taxes given by the people.

Industries were required to check migration and unemployment, he said adding new industries would be set up and those labourers who had already migrated would be brought back.

Stating that investments in large numbers were coming to the state, he asked officials to dispose off the proposals quickly through single window system. Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Amar Bauri, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare, land department secretary K K Saon and other officials were present in the meeting.
