New Delhi: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of wired broadband service Jio Gigafiber, JioPhone 2, JioGiga TV, and said that the company is taking the JioPhone to the next level. Ambani along with his son Akash and daughter Isha addressed the company's 41st annual general meeting (AGM) in Mumbai on Thursday. “We have more than 25 million JioPhone users in India. We are now taking the JioPhone to the next level, with added capabilities and functionalities,” Mukesh Ambani said.
While addressing the shareholders in today's annual general meeting, Ambani said that the company will now extend fiber connectivity to homes, merchants, small and medium enterprises and large enterprises simultaneously across 1,100 cities to offer the most advanced fiber-based broadband connectivity solutions. Reliance Jio Gigafiber
Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance is calling Gigafiber - a fiber-based broadband service. Here's what this broadband service will cater to different segments:
• For homes
* Ultra high-definition entertainment on large screen TVs
* Multi-party video conferencing from your living room
* Voice-activated virtual assistants
* Virtual reality gaming, digital shopping, immersive experiences
• For merchants and small businesses
* Ambani said that the fixed-line broadband for merchants and small businesses meant that when you combine fixed-line connectivity with the agility and customer obsession of a small owner-driven business you empower them to compete on level terms with larger businesses.
• For large enterprises
* Having the ability to compete in the global marketplace, using digital tools and techniques that are powering the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Mukesh Ambani said.

Reliance JioPhone
At its 40th AGM last year, Ambani had unveiled JioPhone, an affordable feature phone that comes with features like 4G VoLTE, voice command interface, as well as pre-loaded Jio apps. Today while addressing the 41st AGM in Mumbai, Ambani said that the company is all set to take JioPhone to another level. "We have more than 25 million JioPhone users in India. We are now taking the JioPhone to the next level, with added capabilities and functionalities," Ambani said.
• Ambani today launched a brand new JioPhone scheme - JioPhone “Monsoon Hungama”.
• Under this offer, the people will be able to exchange their old feature phones, and can get a brand new JioPhone for an effective entry price of just Rs 501.
• In a yet another exciting offer for the common man of the country, Ambani announced that the people can purchase the Jiophone2 at an introductory price of only Rs 2,999. The offer will begin on 15th August.
Reliance Jio Smart Home accessories
Jio smart home solutions were also unveiled in today's event, such as TV camera, plugs, doorbells, etc. The accessories can be used to control the entire home via MyJio application. Jio says that JioGigaFiber, as well as Smart Home, will be set up by the company's engineers in one hour. "Your home will have wall-to-wall Wi-Fi coverage, every appliance, plug point, the switch will become smart. You can have cameras giving you 24x7 security monitoring, alerts, " Akash Ambani said.
