New Delhi: Self-styled godman Daati Maharaj who is facing charges of raping his own female disciple, has fled from his Alawas Ashram in Pali, Rajasthan on Friday, after the police raided his Delhi Ashram on Thursday night.


On Thursday, Daati had given interviews to various media channels sitting in his ashram in Rajasthan and had denied the allegations leveled against him. However it is being said that after the police raided his Delhi’s Ashram, he went underground.

Police has issued a lookout notice against him and has banned him from leaving the country.

Police may go to the Rajasthan Ashram today for further investigation.

The victim was brought to Delhi for investigation on Thursday and the police was likely to take the victim to Rajasthan for further probe today.

With Daati missing from his Ashram, police will now raid his different ashrams.

The victim, had leveled rape allegations on Daati Maharaj on two locations - Delhi’s Fatehpuri Beri where he has his registered office in Mehrauli locality and in the Pali ashram in Rajasthan, two years ago. As per reports, because of fear and social stigma, the victim did not file a complaint earlier.
