Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday attended an event in Nagpur, where he was seen singing the song from the Ram Janmabhoomi movement "Jaago Toh Ek Baar Hindu Jaago Toh".
The song laterally translates to "Wake up Hindu, wake up once." According to ANI, Fadnavis sang the song at an event organised in Nagpur ahead of the Ram Temple inauguration.
Fadnavis on Saturday proudly declared himself as 'Karsevak' and said he witnessed the Babari Mosque demolition and making of the makeshift that happened in a single night.
This comes in a run up to the much awaited Ram Temple Inauguration on January 22 (Monday) in the city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. The event will be co-lead by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath on January 22.
This comes three years after Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the temple, marking the beginning of its construction on August 5, 2020.
The sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple will have a 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla. A Mysuru based sculptor Arun Yogiraj has sculpted the idol using black stone. The idol depicts Lord Ram at the age of five. On Friday, the image of the idol, which featured a god holding a gilded bow and arrow, went viral.
