New Delhi: There has been a tense situation between India and China over the LAC standoff. Meanwhile, sources say that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh held a meeting with former Defense Ministers AK Antony and Sharad Pawar.
According to sources, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met former defense ministers amid the ongoing de-escalation exercise with China. AK Antony and Sharad Pawar took part in the meeting.

At the same time, Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane briefed the former Defense Ministersabout the ongoing conflict on the China border. According to sources, both the former defense ministers had doubts about China's position, which was clarified by the CDS and the army chief.
China recently admitted that bilateral relations are clearly being affected in a negative way due to the prolonged persistence of the current situation in eastern Ladakh, it said the matter will discuss among both nations. China said that it is ready to find acceptable solutions which need to be brought in immediately through a conversation.
During an hour-long meeting on the sidelines of a Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Dushanbe , External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi that any unilateral change in the status quo along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is not acceptable to India and relations can develop in a holistic manner only after the complete restoration of peace in Eastern Ladakh.
