In Rajasthan, crime against women is not declining. News agency ANI reported on Saturday that eight persons had allegedly gang-raped a young girl in Rajasthan's Alwar district.
A 17-year-old girl's father alleged that eight men from the same village sexually assaulted his daughter. SHO Amit Choudhary had reported the incident and filed an FIR.

Such incidents are not uncommon in Rajasthan; earlier this week, The Hindustan Times reported on Thursday that a 17-year-old girl was repeatedly gang raped by eight men in Rajasthan's Bhiwadi town in December last year and was forced to pay 50,000 for a video of the sexual assault. When she couldn't pay, the accused tried to blackmail her into paying 2.5 lakh and released the video clip.
The father of the adolescent submitted a first information report (FIR) on Thursday after becoming aware of the footage.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Rajasthan had reported the most rape cases in the country in 2021, with 6,337, followed by Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The Rajasthan Police insists that the state's figures are higher because it does not encourage crime and strictly enforces a policy of free and fair case registration.
