A family of five people including three children, husband and wife, were charred to death on Thursday after a cylinder caught fire. The police are currently investigating the matter to ascertain the exact cause which led the cylinder to catch fire, causing the accident. Following the incident, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma extended his condolences to the family of the deceased. 


"The news of the untimely demise of 5 civilians due to the massive fire at Vishwakarma in Jaipur is heart-wrenching. I pray to god to grant peace to the departed souls and strength to the family members to bear this thunderbolt and speedy recovery of the injured. Instructions have also been given to provide proper treatment facilities to the injured," CM wrote on X.



The family reportedly came to Jaipur from Bihar and worked in a factory. They were residing in a slum area in Jasla village, HT reported. 


"The incident took place when the woman was working in the kitchen and the gas cylinder exploded. All the family members including their three minor children were burnt alive after the house caught fire," HT quoted SHO Rajendra Sharma saying.


He further stated that the bodies had been sent for autopsy and a Forensics Science Laboratory team was also called at the spot.





Man Charred To Death In Gurugram


In another similar incident, a man was charred to death in the IMT-Manesar area after three vehicles including a double-decker bus, parked in a lot caught fire on Monday night. Five tenders rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Since the accident occurred at night, the police could not search the vehicles until morning.


In morning when the police team conducted a search, the charred body was found in one of the vehicles. The deceased is yet to be identified and the body has  been sent to a mortuary, PTI reported.
