Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who is also the finance minister of the state presented the budget 2023 in the Assembly today. This was the last budget for the Congress-led Gehlot government before assembly polls in the state and as anticipated, the Chief Minister came out with a populist budget that had it focus on youth, unemployed and women.
Several other welfare schemes for the people of the state was aslo announced . He also announced an inflation relief package of Rs 19,000 crore to provide relief to the masses from rising prices.

- Medical cover under Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme has been increased to Rs 25 lakh/family per year from Rs 10 lakh
- Close to 1 crore families coming under the purview of the National Food Security Act to get free Chief Minister Annapurna food packets every month along with free ration
- One-time registration required to appear in competitive exams; no multiple fees to be charged
- Ujjwala scheme consumers to get LPG cylinder at Rs 500, which will benefit 76 lakh people in the state. Scheme to cost the state exchequer Rs 1,500 crore
- 100 "rozgar melas" will be held to provide opportunities to youngsters
- Women to be given Rs 5,000 for buying sewing machines
- Rajiv Gandhi Aviation to open in state capital Jaipur
- Students doing research will get Rs 30,000 in form of government help
- Students will be able to travel free of cost in government buses up to 75 kilometers
- Government will give electric two wheeler to girl students
- Vivekananda youth hostels to come up in in every district of the state.
- Digital library to be constructed at block levels
- Vishwakarma Kamgar Kalyan Yojana has been proposed in the budget
