Rajasthan: Ahead of assembly polls, Raje govt announces distribution of 1 crore cellphones to poor

Raje is also bringing up fresh schemes to attract voters; and has now declared to distribute over one crore cell phones to poor. Not just this, but the government has also declared that it would put balance in their cell phones.

Rajasthan: With only months to go for Rajasthan Assembly polls, various political parties are pulling tactics to lure the voters in their favour. The ruling state government has begun its Gaurav Yatra, through which Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is visiting every nook and corner to seek votes and ask people to give her one more chance. Raje is also bringing up fresh schemes to attract voters; and has now declared to distribute over one crore cell phones to poor. Not just this, but the government has also declared that it would put balance in their cell phones. The announcement was made by Raje during a SC/ST and cleanliness workers’ convention; which was organized in Jaipur and was attended by thousands of people. Mobile companies will have to put special camps by September 30 and distribute the cellphones. Congress is calling this move by government a complete political tactic. The party is however claiming that this wouldn’t bring any change in election result and the government is set to leave.
