New Delhi: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday morning boarded the Ajmer-bound Shatabdi Express to get a first-hand assessment of the facilities on the train. He also took feedback from the passengers during his visit.

A video, shared by Vaishnaw, on his Twitter account showed the minister interacting with the passengers and taking their feedback regarding the cleanliness of toilets and coaches of the train. He was also seen discussing the functioning of the train with an official on the moving train.

The railway minister said that the passengers gave positive feedback about the train, noting that the trains are cleaner than before and mostly arrive on time.

Speaking to ANI, Vaishnaw said, "Passengers have given positive feedback. They told that trains are more clean than earlier, they are on time, platforms are clean."

He further stated that two initiatives have to be taken in this route. "First increasing speed on this route by making certain changes in the track. Secondly, pantograph trains (Vande Bharat) will soon run between Delhi-Jaipur on this track after trials and testing."

Earlier on Friday, Vaishnaw shared a video on Twitter in which one can see a woman travelling with her pet dog with the Indian Railways. The video was initially shared on Instagram and later posted on other social media platforms where it caught the attention of the Railway Minister.

The video opens to show a woman sleeping on the lower berth of a train compartment. After a few seconds, the camera zooms in and a person taps on the woman's shoulder who then removes the blanket to show a glimpse of her pet enjoying the train journey.

"Indian Railways at your service 24x7", read the caption of the video shared by the Railway Minister.

Since being shared, the video has amassed 1.4 million views, over 20,000 likes, and several comments.
