NEW DELHI: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday said Union minister Nitin Gadkari is the only one in the BJP who has the guts even as he asked the BJP leader to comment on the Rafale deal, job crisis, "farmers distress and destruction of institutions". Gandhi's statement came in wake of Gadkari's recent remarks perceived as against his party's top leadership.

The Road Transport and Highways minister has reportedly said that "one who cannot take care of home, cannot manage the country".

"Gadkari Ji, compliments! You are the only one in the BJP with some guts. Please also comment on: The Rafale Scam & Anil Ambani, Farmers' Distress and Destruction of Institutions," tweeted Gandhi tagging a media report on Gadkari telling party workers that "one who cannot take care of his home, cannot manage the country," Gandhi has said on Twitter.

"Oops, Gadkari Ji. Huge apology. I forgot the most important one....JOBS!  JOBS!  JOBS!  JOBS!" he said later in a tweet.

Later, Gadkari took to Twitter to reply to the Congress chief. He said he does not need a certificate from Gandhi on his courage and alleged that the Congress chief is taking the help of reports "twisted" by the media to attack his government.

"Rahul Gandhi ji, I do not need a certificate from you on my courage, but it is a matter of surprise that even after being the president of a national party you have to take the help of news twisted by the media to attack our government," Gadkari tweeted.

Following the BJP's defeat in the Assembly polls to the Hindi heartland of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in December, Gadakri then had remarked that the leadership should own up to failures.
