Lucknow:  The BJP will on Saturday stage protests against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for his "dalali" barb at all the district headquarters in Uttar Pradesh, including state capital Lucknow.

BJP workers will stage protests at all the district headquarters and burn the effigies of Gandhi, the party's state unit chief Keshav Prasad Maurya said, adding that slogans such as "Bhartiya sena ka apmaan, nahi sahega Hindustan" (the country will not tolerate insult to the army) will be raised during the demonstrations.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi,  created a lot of buzz with his remark on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and accused him of “indulging in political exploitation of the sacrifices of soldiers” in remarks that come in the wake of cross-LoC surgical strikes on terror launch pads in PoK;  also came up with a clarification on Friday morning.

Rahul Gandhi on Friday said, “Support surgical strikes, but will not support use of Army in political posters, propaganda”.

Rahul was being condemned over his remark on PM Modi where he said, “Jo hamare jawan hain jinhone apna khoon diya hai, Jammu and Kashmir mein khoon diya hai, jinhone Hindustan ke liye surgical strike kiye hain, unke khoon ke peeche aap chhupe hain. Unki aap dalali kar rahe ho. Yeh bilkul galat hai. You (Modi) are hiding behind the blood of soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir and those who carried out the surgical strikes for India. You are exploiting their sacrifices, which is very wrong.”

“The Indian army has done its job for the country, you do yours,” the Congress Vice President said, attacking Modi.

Even Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal on Friday hit out at and condemned Gandhi’s statement via his tweet.
